here are a few tips that I give clients when coaching bulgarian split squats

Its one of those exercises you dread doing, but are so happy you completed

As mentioned there are ways to make it glute dominant, or quad dominant

whichever you choose, make sure the foundation is set up correct:
- make sure your feet are hip width apart
- step away from the bench where your heel will be in line with your knee
- grab onto 1 or 2 weights, which side you load is up to you. holding onto the opposite side of your working leg might offer more balance and stability
-if you are experiencing some challenges with stability, face something you can hold onto
- once you are ready, lower yourself down as low as you can, feel the stretch in the working leg glute
- press through the heel to drive yourself up to your starting position
- keep your core braced the entire time
- dont let your arms sway, pretend you are squeezing a ball under your arm and dont let it go
- work your way through your set then switch legs
-its completely normal for one leg to feel stronger than the other
- practice makes perfect :D
