American Integrity near miss with Aerial Lift Bridge

A beautiful summer evening in Duluth MN, and hundreds of people line up along the Duluth Shipping Canal to watch the 1000 foot American Integrity enter the Duluth-Superior Harbor under the Aerial Lift Bridge.
Little did the onlookers realize a disaster was narrowly avoided by an alert captain and bridge operator when an electrical malfunction caused the bridge lift to stall while the boat was headed into the canal.
A dramatic turn away from the canal entry by the huge 1000 foot laker avoided a possible catastrophic collision with the bridge.
Excellent work by the crew and bridge operator.
