President Joe Biden in India meets with Prime Minister Narendra Modi… ahead of the annual G20 leaders' summit, where the agenda will include the world economy, climate, and security issues.
U.S. reporters and news cameras are not allowed inside to see that bilateral meeting, and that leads to questions to White House officials about press freedom.
But we will hear from a U.S. National Security Council staff member who did attend the meeting and later spoke with reporters. He said the session was marked by “undeniable warmth and confidence”.
The Pentagon holds a staff remembrance of the September 11th, 2001 terror attacks. Monday is the anniversary.
With COVID cases on the upswing again in some area, a Republican Senator tries to pass a bill to bar federal mask mandates, but it is blocked by a Democratic Senator.
And we will look at some of the headline moments on the Republican presidential campaign trail this week, including Donald Trump saying he is wants to testify at his criminal trials, Mike Pence warning against populism, and Ron DeSantis accused of supporting policies as Florida Governor that contributed to a racially-motivated mass shooting.
