Retired Lieutenant Colonel Dan Schilling served over 30 years in the military, primarily as a CCT (Combat Controller) & STO (Special Tactics Officer). He was chosen to author the bestselling book Alone at Dawn , the story of Medal of Honor recipient MSgt John Chapman, who was killed in action March 4th 2002 attempting to rescue fallen SEAL Team 6 member Neil Roberts. Dan Schilling also served as a Tier 1 operator at the elite 24th Special Tactics Squadron. With multiple combat & clandestine deployments around the globe, Dan fought in Operation Gothic Serpent, popularly known as "Black Hawk Down" from the Hollywood movie. During the Battle of Mogadishu, Dan was credited with saving the lives of both an Army Ranger and a SEAL Team 6 teammate while under fire. Dan Schilling finished his career as a commander, serving in the secretive JSOC (Joint Special Operations Command). Dan also holds the Guinness World Record for most BASE jumps in a day/24 hour period with 201 jumps!
