Did you know that Ethiopians celebrate their New Year on September 11?

Turns out that our arrival to Ethiopia was timed perfectly with this nationwide celebration.

We were lucky enough to celebrate the Ethiopian New Year with our new friend and his Family.

Traditional food, chibo burning, araki drinks and coffee ceremonies were just some of the highlights.
