PRODUCT REVIEW - Halo Dog Collar - Seven Months Later

A review of the Halo Dog Collar, after 7/8 months of use.

I am an experienced user and early technology adopter. So far I have figured out how to train my dog to respect the GPS dog collar boundaries, have tested it in other locations at home and remotely, and while this collar isn't perfect, overall it's a product that has provided me and my dog a ton of freedom and flexibility.

I would love to test out some of the other wireless dog collar products out there to compare.

Does the collar go "wonky" - YES - sometimes software updates impact it.
Has it been waterproof - to my knowledge - yes.
How strong is the halo collar ... honestly I've tested it on my wrist (sensitive area) and while it did make me quite awake, and aware, it was manageable.
Biggest issues - software updates and GPS calibration - both a pain in the "tush" but necessary - it's dynamic technology.
Cost - would have been well over 2500 for an e-fence with collar and no flexibility.
Does she escape - yes at times she's a little too social, and she will disregard the reminder - sometimes her fur is a bit longer or the collar gets loose.

I'll say it over and over again this is not the product for everyone but has it worked for us. Hear my thoughts - would love to know yours.
