This is a story of pain and hope.
This is me finally speaking out.
Born into a dysfunctional family, I grew up with an unpredictable mother and
an absent biological father that I only knew by name until much later. Being
the only child from their union, my mother, step-father and step siblings
openly made me feel like I was an abandoned child who would amount to
nothing.
Over the years, I have endured many hardships; surviving drug set-ups in
Japan, money scams, and family land disputes that have threatened my
safety- but the worst of it has been the realisation that my own mother has
been a cheerleader, enabler, orchestrator and supporter of most of the pain
that I have gone through.
In this memoir, I am finally echoing my truth, my whole truth . I am finally
revisiting my childhood, my passionate musical journey, and the joy of the
family that I have created along the way - my two beautiful boys.
I am testifying to the pain, the lies and the perseverance through it all.
I am finally healing.
THIS is my story - my truth – and MY. MOTHER. KNOWS.
