A major Canadian medical breakthrough is being hailed as a potential game-changer in the fight against superbugs. Researchers at McMaster University have discovered a new antibiotic, Manikomycin, a powerful compound that specifically targets some of the world's most dangerous, drug-resistant bacteria. As antibiotic resistance becomes an increasingly urgent global health crisis, this discovery could open the door to a new class of antibiotics.
