Chua: ‘Green box’ containing VP Sara, husband’s tax records may be opened in Senate

#MorningMatters | Manila 3rd District Representative Joel Chua said the tax records of Vice President Sara Duterte and her husband may be opened in the Senate.

However, Chua said he does not agree with the Bureau of Internal Revenue’s position that tax information can only be disclosed to Congress in aid of legislation, citing the Constitution, which gives Congress the authority and power to promulgate its own rules and issue compulsory processes in impeachment proceedings.
