The PS4 is finally here. Sony's next generation gaming and entertainment console the Sony Playstation 4 is now available to everyone and it's time for us to get some unboxing, setup and first impression done with the new PS4.

It's kind of crazy to think that we are now on a PS4! Time has seem to really have flown by since when release the first PlayStation but next year will mark the 20th anniversary of the original PlayStation launch in Japan in 1994 and later in the US in 1995 that sparked a new gaming revolution and here we are now with the PS4.

The box for the PS4 looks more like a box for a laptop then traditional big box packaging. It comes with the essentials for the system with a 1 DualShock 4 controller, power cord, headset, micro USB cable and HDMI cable. The PS4 actually feels a bit heavier than you would think and design reminds me of one of Sony's standalone Blu-Ray player which of course comes in the PS4 along with a 500 GB hard drive. For ports you have 3 USB ports (2 in front, 1 rear), HDMI, Gigabit Ethernet, aux port (for PlayStation Camera) optical audio and built-in Wi-Fi. Going back to the controller. The DualShock 4 feels better then the DualShock 3 by a lot. The material and build quality of the PS4 controller just feel a step up and a better grip then the PS3 controller.

When you first turn on your PS4 there is an update that's around 300 MB to install. You can download it right on the system or you can download it on your computer and put it on a USB flash drive and install it that way. We did the USB option on this system and the update was about 5 minutes long. Once we applied the update and rebooted we got the first setup screen which is by far the fastest setup screen I've seen in a while. Very basic and quick questions and your done. Now we get to the good stuff which we cover in the video in better detail. Since we were not able to login to PSN most likely due to server overload we were able to play some PlayRoom games using the camera and that was a very fun experience that combines the camera and the motion + touch controls in the DualShock 4 controller. It's best shown in video so take a look at it below and stay tuned for our review coming later on.
