In this video SINGLE STOREY EXTENSION AWESOME DORMER BUILD we start the process of constructing a dormer window. First off though Joe shows using a drill attachment plug cutter to make wood plugs. Pete is then installing wood plugs into screw holes and he talks about the makita orbital sander giving it the thumbs up.John has to strip old roof tiles and dismantle dormer walls. Pete fits new suspended wall plate in preparation for new dormer, and the existing king post will need removing before constructing new dormer framework. Pete discusses his dewalt laser level and uses it to set out stud wall framing. Pete and John show how to build dormer walls of this flat roof dormer and give you a complete guide to framing a dormer. John then shows how to construct a dormer roof and puts up the dormer roof rafters.
