This two-day conference, conducted entirely in Irish by a slate of international scholars and performers, addressed the under-recognition of humor as an aspect of the public image of the Irish language. Building on the premise that language reflects the character and mode of thought of its speakers It explored the expression of humor in Irish through a variety of forms.
