The future of US farm and food policy in a post-COVID-19 world | LIVE STREAM

The COVID-19 pandemic has led to a significant increase in poverty and hunger throughout the United States. At the same time, rightly or wrongly, there is a perception that food production is at risk because the pandemic has created serious financial difficulties for farmers, even though current crop and livestock prices are equal to or above their pre-pandemic levels. Congress has responded to the increase in food insecurity through expanded Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program payments and income-related initiatives and significantly increased subsidy payments to farmers.

In this context, the distinguished panelists will examine how farm and food policy should look in 2021 and beyond.
