The Vox Valvenergy series achieves authentic tube amp modeling by making use of Korg's NuTube technology. There's a little low-voltage tube inside these pedals that really give them the tonal character and feel of a tube amp and it's kind of blowing my mind how useful this design can be. In this video I'll be walking you through a couple different scenarios in which the Valvenergy series can work on your pedalboard. Use it as an overdrive pedal, to replace an amp head, or as your entire rig in order to go direct. It stacks great with traditional overdrive pedals and is a fantastic solution for anyone who has to deal with backline amps. I own the Mystic Edge (an AC-30 voicing), but they also offer the Copperhead (Marshall Plexi), Cutting Edge (high gain, Mesa Boogie Mark 3), and Silk Drive (Dumble Overdrive Special).
