Dahlia Flower Technique Beading Tutorial | Beading a fluffy flower head in Right Angle Weave

This technique can be used to bead amazing small or large multi-petal beaded flowers such as dahlia or zinnia. It is essentially a hubble stitch fringe coming off a right-angle weave base and can be customized to your size and colors as well as petal sizes. It is rather soft unless you put it onto a firm surface - this can be beneficial depending on your design, but it is easy to add a metal ring or other hard surface to make it more solid if you don't like it floppy.

Materials

11/0 seed beads (8/0 or 15/0 could be used) in several colors
Beading thread
Beading needle
