How to Get into the Top PhD Programs for Science and Engineering
Do you want to know how to best prepare yourself to apply for some of the BEST science and engineering graduate programs in the country? In this video I will share my story on:
- Why did I choose graduate school?
- Why did I choose a PhD?
- What made me choose Environmental Engineering programs?
- What are the steps I took to applying and deciding?
In the end I was choosing between UC Berkeley, Stanford and Duke for a PhD program in Environmental Engineering and I will share how I decided on Duke.
Some of the steps to take and prepare for in applying to graduate school include:
1. Deciding your top 5-10 schools, programs and professors
2. Taking the GRE exam
3. Writing a Personal and Research Statement
4. Putting together a Letter of Recommendation packet
5. Organizing applications
6. Making Big Decisions
Going to graduate school is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about yourself and build yourself into a solid researcher. So why not apply now!
