It’s been a busy week, I can’t wait to show you what I’ve been up to!

Recipe:
Condensed Tomato Soup

7.5 lbs Ripe tomatoes , quartered
3 medium onions
6 celery ribs, chopped
4 whole cloves
1 bay leaf
6 sprigs of parsley

1/2 cup butter
6 tablespoons flour
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 tablespoons salt
1/8 teaspoon Cayenne pepper

Combine first 6 ingredients in a large pot and bring to boil. Cover and simmer on low for 2 hours. Remove and discard bay leaf and cloves then run through blender. Strain to remove seeds.

Melt butter in saucepan. Stir in remaining ingredients, add some soup and mix. Pour back into soup boil and stir until thickened. Pour into jars and process 30 minutes in a water bath or freeze in small containers.

To serve add a pinch of baking sofa to 1 cup hot tomato concentrate soup then add 1 cup hot milk, heat and serve!
