London's Hidden Canal Routes | Exploring the Scenic Path from Camden to Angel (via King's Cross)

Exploring one of London’s hidden canal routes, I start at the busy streets of Camden and then leave the crowds and noise behind, following the Regent’s Canal through King’s Cross and toward Angel — experiencing a unique side of the city that many visitors never see.

As I discover one of London’s most overlooked urban routes, the canal becomes a different kind of London: slower, quieter, and shaped by the city’s industrial past.

Along the way, I explore how the canal helped connect London during the industrial era, before arriving in King’s Cross — an area that has transformed dramatically in recent decades. Once associated with warehouses, rail yards, and urban decline, King’s Cross is now one of the city’s most modern developments, where old industrial architecture sits beside new public spaces, apartments, offices, and cultural venues.

The walk then continues further east toward Angel, following the canal through hidden paths, narrowboats, old bridges, and quieter corners that many visitors to London never see.

This is not the postcard version of London — but a different perspective on the city, experienced meaningfully on foot.

📍 Route: Camden → Regent’s Canal → King’s Cross → Angel
