CBP OPR’s mission is diverse, complex, and exciting. We have oversight of over 43,000 uniformed personnel and contractors, who work around the clock in almost every environment imaginable. From the ports of entry in downtown Detroit to El Paso, to marine and aerial patrol over the Caribbean and the Rio Grande, to patrolling the most remote pockets of the border, CBP law enforcement personnel engage with millions of travelers each year, inspect thousands of inbound and outbound shipments, and make hundreds of arrests at and between established ports of entry. We take our responsibility seriously and never stop learning.
