4,000+ Mile Road Trip in 1967 VW Bus with Family of 5 and 2 Dogs #2

After last summer's road trip, our 1967 VW Bus was not in optimal shape, but we wanted to take it out west again. My dad decided to almost completely rebuild the engine and make some major alterations so we could make it back out. During our two week trip we went through 15 states, went to 5 national parks, and drove more than 4,100 miles.
Once we got to Colorado we started our trip in Durango, then went to Silverton and Telluride to camp and we even went off-roading in our Bus (on "4-wheel drive only" trails). After Colorado we headed to Moab, Utah for a few days for more camping, then went to Jackson Hole, WY to Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Park. We made Badlands National Park our last stop and then headed back home. We had so much fun on our camping/road trip and are so glad our Bus made it out another year.
