Can You Find the EVEN Number? (GMAT Trap) 🧠

The setup: If n is any integer, which of these must be even?
A) n² + 5
B) n² + n
C) n³ + 2
D) n² + n + 1
E) n/2
The Correct Answer: B

Why B is Right:
The expression n² + n can be factored into n(n + 1). These are two consecutive integers (like 4 and 5, or 11 and 12). In any pair of consecutive numbers, one is always even and one is always odd. Since Even × Odd = Even, the result is guaranteed to be even every single time!
Mind blowing

Why the others fail:
If you pick n = 1(Odd):
A becomes 1 + 5 = 6 (Even) — Wait, it works! But keep going...
If you pick n = 2 (Even):A becomes 4 + 5 = 9 (Odd) — A is OUT.

C becomes 1 + 2 = 3(Odd) — C is OUT.
D becomes 1 + 1 + 1 = 3 (Odd) — D is OUT.
