1969 Europe Trip 1: To West Berlin & DDR

July 27, 1969 - trip to DDR by William R. Noack Sr. & Jr. as part of "Lutheran Heritage Tour" - took film from plane, landed in Hamburg, through suburbs to Hannover, to border of DDR (East Germany) where we waited 3 hours at checkpoint, entered the "corridor to West Berlin" through East Germany in which no one can stop on the motorway. Arrived in West Berlin. Film of Brandenberger Tor, with socialist red flags over it, administered by the Russians within West Berlin, and the Reichstag in ruins.
