3 Reasons to Visit Batu Cave | Must See in Kuala Lumpur | Malaysia
Hello Everyone! I made this small video guide for 2 reasons:
1) To make sure you don’t miss the Batu Caves while in KL
2) To make sure you don’t miss the "Must Sees" while visiting Batu Caves
Description:
-------------------
Batu Caves is one of the major tourist attractions in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Everyday approximately 3000-5000 people visit Batu Caves which is a limestone hills with a series of caves and cave temples. These limestone hills are said to be 400 million years old and some of the cave entrances were used as shelter by the indigenous Temuan people (a tribe of Orang Asli).
Three ‘must see’ in Batu Caves are:
1. The world’s tallest Lord Muruga statue, which is 42.7 m high
2. The massive Cathedral Cave (The Temple Cave) which has ceiling over 300 feet high
3. The Dark Cave which has dramatic cave formations, hundreds of species and is the longest cave in Batu Caves
There are a couple of other smaller temples and a cave villa in the area you can visit. Recently rock climbing has become another reason for adventure lovers to visit batu caves.
How to go:
-----------------
- You can easily go by Uber (will cost RM 10-15) as Batu Caves is just 7 miles away from KL.
- If you want to go by bus take Intrakota bus No 11D from the Central Market or the Cityliner bus No 69 at Jalan Pudu or bus U6 from Titiwangsa.
- If you want to go by train take the The KTM Komuter from KL Sentral
Dress Code:
--------------------
Women need to cover their knees before entering the temple. At the temple entrance you can rent a long scarf for 2 RM.
