Google expands AI-powered search to more Indian languages, introduces new features

Google is expanding its AI-powered search features in India, adding support for four more regional languages: Tamil, Telugu, Bengali, and Marathi. Its voice chat tool, Gemini Live, will soon include Hindi and eight additional languages. Google Maps will introduce AI-driven restaurant summaries and weather-related alerts for fog and floods. Video search capabilities through Google Lens are also being rolled out. Additionally, enhanced fraud protection for Android devices will be piloted in India. These updates, revealed at the 'Google for India' event, are part of Google’s efforts to improve AI services and user security amidst growing competition.
