3 Lawn Care Mistakes In 2019
In this video, i will review 3 mistakes a made this season, that i felt contributed to my rough first year.
1. Chasing Money
After completing my first season, i realized I did alot of chasing customers for payments. that could be a reall headache.
Moving forward, into 2020 i will be chatgong cards on file for new customers to avoid the headache of chasing down payments.
2. Accepting All Customers
I accepted all customers because i wanted the $, but that wasnt the best idea once i got busy in the season.
In 2020, i will only focus on accepting customers in the neighborhoods that i am currently servicing already.
3. Using the wrong equipment
I started with a push mower, once i reach 30 customers i purchased a used Gravely 48" Residential ZT. The mower gave me trouble 2 weeks after buying. Weed eater, hedge trimmer , edger were all used. I eventually needed new equipment before the season could kick off right. At the EOD, i should've purchased what i needed to be sufficient throughout the season.
I plan on upgrading my fleet in Feb. 2020 making aure in ready to crush it in March. I will be sticking with one brand for all equipment Echo most likely.
