Snowflake offers "data warehouse-as-a-service". It basically allows users to store and analyze data using cloud-based hardware and software across multi-cloud platforms.

The company generated more than $100 million in revenue in 2019, which is a 174% increase compared to 2018.

Snowflake has more than 3,400 active customers including companies like: Adobe, Capital One, Doordash, Hulu, Instacart, Jet Blue, Netflix,, and many more.

Current estimates are that Snowflake could be valued anywhere between $15 billion and $20 billion. And they’ve already raised a substantial amount of capital.

The latest round came in February of this year when the company raised nearly $500 million at a $12.4 billion valuation.
