We drove a camper van around Iceland and things didn't go as planned

A week before our trip to Iceland to drive a Toyota Land Cruiser 76, we got an email saying that it had been in an accident and was no longer available. So instead of cancelling our trip completely we booked a camper van. Not as cool, but should still be able to get us around the country right? Not exactly.
