WATCH: 'We're going to be doing more testing, not less,' Fauci tells lawmakers

During a House Energy and Commerce Committee hearing on June 23, Rep. Frank Pallone, D-N.J., asked Dr. Anthony Fauci, the federal government's top infectious disease expert, about the president's suggestion to "slow the testing down" on COVID-19. "To my knowledge, none of us have ever been told to slow down on testing. That just is a fact," Fauci responded, referring to his colleagues on the White House coronavirus task force. He noted that the country will be undergoing more extensive testing. "So it's the opposite. We're going to be doing more testing, not less," Fauci said.
