Trebuchet - New flow trail at Stromlo!? Canberra MTB at its finest

I was lucky enough to be in Canberra on the opening weekend of Stromlo's new flow trail, Trebuchet! Watch my adventures as I check it out for the first time.

Bonus points for finally hitting the step-down on Vapour Trail and also the road gap on the DH. I have no idea why I haven't done either of these before!!!

For those who ride Stromlo you would know the company that maintains the trails cops a lot of flack for really... not maintaining them. Seems like the pressure has piled on and they are starting to build a few more things.

Good! The whole bloody mountain should be covered in trails. It has so much untapped potential and the car park is always full. Give the people what they want... jumps.

The main feature is a long flow trail going from the water tower all the way to the car park. It features some strange kind of dual slalom sections (which would be fun once you and your mates know them), really nice berms and some jumps that are too small for the speed you're going. Overall it's super fun. I rode it once and nearly killed myself off a drop. That's a good bit of footy!

They have also added two "coaching" trails that will be used for camps. One of them is a semi fun jump trail. It will be great for people progressing on but kind of small.
