In this video, we'll be diving deep into the fundamental tool every Excel user needs to master—the IF function. Think of it like a jump shot in basketball, essential in countless Excel scenarios. By the end of this video, you'll be a pro at it!

The IF function compares 2 values using a logical test. If the logical test returns TRUE, it returns one value; if false, then another value.

Let's break down the IF function:

IF(logical_test, value_if_true, [value_if_false])

1️⃣ logical_test: Must result in TRUE or FALSE. We use comparison operators (check these out).
2️⃣ value_if_true: Returned when the logical test is TRUE.
3️⃣ value_if_false: Returned when the logical test is FALSE.

If you find yourself potentially using Nested IF functions, you will want to use the IFS function which is a powerful alternative.

Let's break down the IFS function:

(logical_test1, value_if_true1, [logical_test2, value_if_true2], [logical_test3, value_if_true3],…)

1️⃣ logical_test1: Must result in TRUE or FALSE. We use comparison operators (check these out).
2️⃣ value_if_true1: Returned when the logical test is TRUE.
