Profiles host Mickey Burns interviews Singer and Actress Melba Moore in this 10 minute episode teaser. She started her career in 1967 with a role in the musical "Hair". In 1970, Moore won a Tony Award for best performance by a featured Actress in a Musical for her role in "Purlie", making her the first black actress to do so.

By the 1970's, Melba started focusing on music and produced many hits through the mid 1980's. More recently, Melba has been focusing on Gospel recordings while still appearing in occasional Broadway shows.
