Parashat Pinchas: Sacrifices of Fire

In Parashat Pinchas we read that after Moses prays to G-d to appoint a successor to lead Yisrael G-d informs Moses to tell the Jewish people they must fulfill the mitzvah of the Qorban Tamid [Daily sacrificial offering]. When G-d speaks about the Qorban Tamid he refers to it as, קרבני לחמי לאשי ריח ניחחי, My offering, My food for My fire, My satisfying aroma (Numbers 28:2).
