Positive economic figures boost Trump's chances of re-election
President Donald Trump's re-election chances have been given a boost after the release of better-than-expected job figures.
Economists were surprised to find the unemployment rate which was expected to drop to 19.8 per cent instead fell to 13.3 per cent, after the economy created 2.5 million new jobs in May.
The numbers provided a rare piece of good news for the United States President, after the hit taken by the Trump Administration due to the fatal arrest of George Floyd and the coronavirus pandemic.
