Lumberdar and Chowkidar Association, Kupwara, Holds Crucial Meeting on Honorarium Increase

Kupwara,– The All Lumberdar and Chowkidar Association of District Kupwara convened an important meeting at TRC Kargama, Handwara, to discuss the demand for an increase in honorarium. The meeting was chaired by District President Sheikh Parvaiz and attended by all tehsil presidents.

During the meeting, the association emphasized that a formal memorandum detailing their demands has already been submitted to the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister, and various MLAs. They expressed confidence that the issue will be addressed in the upcoming budget session.

Speaking on the occasion, the association members highlighted their crucial role as the bridge between the people and the government. They stated that it is through their efforts that government programs and welfare schemes effectively reach every doorstep.

The association reiterated its commitment to advocating for the rights and welfare of Lumberdars and Chowkidars and urged the authorities to acknowledge their contributions by addressing their demands at the earliest.
