Edge Painting for Leather Work

Want to have the smoothest painted edges for your next project?

In this video I show the method that I use to get the best looking painted edges. This method is suitable to be used with many brands of edge paint including Fiebing's, Giardini, Fenice and Vernis. The method involves sanding, heating, waxing and burnishing the edge paint to get either a glossy or matte finish.

Required Tools and Materials:
- Edge paint
- Paraffin wax
- Edge paint applicator or awl
- Sand paper (#400, #800)
- Canvas cloth
- Natural rubber cleaner
- Electric edge creaser
- Edge creaser tip FN2 (optional)
