Philadelphia charter school heading to the Bahamas to learn about transatlantic slave trade

Students and staff from Philadelphia's Global Leadership Academy Southwest boarded a plane bound for the Bahamas Monday, where they'll learn about the transatlantic slave trade. The trip is just one of the excursions students embark on each year to expand their educations outside the classroom.
