Acadia National Park is amazing but while there, MAKE SURE and see these places nearby. Nervous Nellie’s Jams and Jellies, Bass Harbor Lighthouse, Penobscot Narrows Bridge Observatory, and Fort Knox. We left the little cabin in the woods, and headed to Bar Harbor Campground. Where we found out we was not prepared. We had no idea Maine campgrounds close on Columbus Day. Which was in 3 days of our arrival to the Acadia National Park. So we had to hurry and cram in as much as possible.
