6.20.2021: Honest to God: Bishop Yvette A. Flunder

Guest preacher Bishop Yvette Flunder joins Dean Randy Hollerith and Canon Theologian Kelly Brown Douglas to reflect on LGBTQIA leadership and the church during Pride month. Featured in The Black Church (Episode 2), the Rev. Dr. Flunder is a writer, award-winning gospel musician, and same-gender loving woman. In 1991 she founded the City of Refuge United Church of Christ to unite a gospel ministry with a social ministry. Since 2003, she has been Presiding Bishop of The Fellowship of Affirming Ministries, a fellowship of worshipping communities moving toward a theology of radical inclusivity.
