Blackbrook's Full Grain Leather S23 Ultra Cases

[BLACKBROOK LEATHER CASES FOR SAMSUNG S23 ULTRA REVIEW]

There’s a reason Blackbrook’s products are featured frequently on the channel. They consistently deliver top-tier quality leather products that I am always impressed by. They sent over three of their new cases for the Samsung S23 series and I found them all to be fantastic options.

The York is a great drop protection style case that adds a sheet of padded full grain leather on the rear. The holder itself is a nice rubberized style design that should provide ample drop protection for light to moderate impacts. All of the cutouts are well designed and wireless charging is no issue.

The Barlow was my personal favorite of the batch with its incredibly thin profile not adding much weight or bulk to the device. The case is all full grain leather providing a very pleasant feeling in the hand. I really liked the pebble black version which provided a bit of texture to the grip compared to smoother options. This will likely stay as my daily driver for the foreseeable future. The only minor critique I could find with the Barlow is that it was slightly more difficult to retrieve the S-Pen from its silo but not so much that I would call it a problem. The Barlow is also wireless charging compatible.

The last one of this batch is the Carson which we have looked at before for the iPhone lineup. This one is done in Blackbrook’s amazing burnished tan color which has always been my personal favorite finish. The smooth texture of the leather feels luxurious in the hand. On the inside are four card slots with one featuring a thumb slider for quick retrieval. Behind the card slots is one large section for storing documents or cash. As with the iPhone version, the phone holder is magnetic and detaches easily providing an alternative option and making it easy to use the phone outside of the folio portion. This is especially notable on the S23 Ultra specifically as the magnetic closure interferes with the S-Pen making it virtually unusable while the phone is attached to the folio. This is something to consider if you are a heavy S-Pen user. As soon as you remove the holder portion from the folio there’s no issue. It only presents when the phone is attached to the folio. The Carson holder is wireless charging compatible but I was unable to get wireless charging to work with the folio attached.

Overall these are three fantastic options for the S23 series from Blackbrook. I have consistently been impressed by their value, high quality materials, and top-notch build quality. Anyone in the market for a full grain leather case for their Samsung S23 series device should definitely check these out.
