Nearly two years after the conflict erupted in Sudan in April 2023, the violence has devastated children’s lives. Millions have been forced to flee their homes and many more are going hungry.
But despite the staggering levels of need, this crisis is not getting the attention and meaningful political action that it so urgently deserves.
Save the Children is demanding the UK Government keeps its promises to provide critical aid to children in Sudan, and protect funding for neighbouring countries where funding cuts are pushing refugee services to breaking point. They must dial up pressure on all warring parties and their international backers to secure a lasting political solution that ends the violence once and for all.
