Competitors hospitalized as cheese-rolling contest spins out of control

It might sound tame, but the UK's annual cheese-rolling contest is not for the faint of heart. Contestants charging down a steep 180-meter hill after an eight-pound wheel of cheese were seen flying through the air like rag dolls during the event. The NHS’s South Western Ambulance Service said it sent “five double-crewed land ambulances, an air ambulance, an operations officer, a doctor, a first responder and the hazardous area response team to the scene" and that “We conveyed two patients by land ambulances to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital."
