Portland preps for vibrant Memorial Day Weekend - here's what you can check out!

It’s shaping up to be a beautiful Memorial Day Weekend in Portland, and if you’re looking for something fun to do, you don’t have to leave the Rose City!

Darion Jones, the Assistant Director of the Portland Office of Arts and Culture, joined us on ARC PDX with a look at some of the entertaining events in our city this weekend.

The Rose Festival kicks off on Friday, and Jones let us know what people can look forward to this year.

Across the river, Vanport Mosaic Festival is also underway – running through June 1and headquartered at the Historic Alberta House in Northeast Portland.

Jones also shared information about some new public art people can check out in Southeast Portland, as well as the PSU MFA Art and Social Practice’s assembly.
