HAPPY INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY!!!

Saturday 27th of Feb I was invited for a live fashion portrait illustration session by the talented Kris Keys at the Refuel Restaurant at the Soho Hotel, for her ' Beauty in London' series. On arrival I was introduced to the other two lovely ladies Bunmi (@accidentalstatement) and Marlene (@marleneabuah) that were also taken part in the session. We giggled, laughed and talked about everything from hair (the new trend "boxer braids" to be precise), diversity within the fashion industry, and even politics! While doing so over a milky cup of tea and croissants, Kris was painting away on paper making the experience a bliss! (how i like to spend my Saturdays)...

The series is entitled Beauty In, which Kris created to share the stories of women across the world on their journey to owning their beauty. She capturing women through live portraiture illustrations while conversing about what makes them feel beautiful, and the beautiful aspects about their city. The project highlights the similarities and differences of the way women of colour view beauty in different demographics.
