Learning how to stop on the ice is probably the most useful skill to develop. Once you've master the stop in one direction, its always a great idea to learn it in the other way around. There are tones of different reasons to why learning to stop in both directions is useful:
Hockey players need to learn all skills in both directions (left and right, weak side and strong side)
