Serious Sam: First Encounter - My Thoughts

So, First encounter has ended, and this video I express my thoughts, briefly with a demo running in the background.

After having played the game again, I can really appreciate the work that was put in, Serious Sam, is not so serious at all. Considering he had to go back in time in order to stop the threat in the future, that is one big plot to handle for the developers. Love the “To be continued” at the end, giving you the sense a sequel is definitely on its way.

Weapons and enemies, all unique, though lacking a second fire, which I have gotten so accustomed to with newer FPS game, but the simplicity has its ups. The sheer number of enemies later on has its challenging moments, especially fighting multiple werebulls.

The graphics is not bad for it’s time as well, I don’t think so, and I did not need an emulator to play it, but that might just be because it was released later than most of the games so far that I started a series on.

All and all, I thoroughly enjoyed First Encounter, stories and all, and will have to keep a better lookout for secrets and the lot in Second Encounter!
