In this video I show you how I make a simple and healthy smoothie with nutritious ingredients. Using ingredients in your smoothie that are dense in nutrients is key in order to feed the small cells in your body what they need to help your body thrive optimally.
Foods rich in vitamins and minerals are my MAIN focus when making my smoothies. The most vitamin and mineral rich foods are usually minimally processed whole foods. Minimally processed whole foods are simple to find in the vegetable and fruit aisles of your local grocery store. Another tip on finding vitamin and mineral rich foods is to look for dark colors. Dark color = dense nutrients!
Experiment with different fruit and vegetable combinations to find what flavors you like best. Experimenting with different flavor combinations will help you piece together a tasty healthy smoothie, even when you don't have all the ingredients for a complete recipe.

To consistently make quick nutritionally dense smoothies, pick a food from each category:
1. Berries: 1/2 to 1 cup of fresh or frozen
2. Other fruit (not berries): small size or 1/2 cup cut fresh or frozen
3. Dark leafy greens: 1 to 2 handfulls raw
4. Nut butter and/or seed butter: 1 to 2 tablespoons
5. Liquid: 1/2 to 1 1/2 cup of nutritionally dense water and/or ice, non-dairy milk
6. Optional* Herbs or Spices: 1/2 to 1 teaspoon
7. Optional* Natural sweetener: 1 tablespoon
8. Optional* Protein/Collagen powder: 1-2 scoops

IN THIS SMOOTHIE:
1. Mixed dark leafy greens: 2 1/2 cup
2. Blueberries: 1 1/2 cup
3. Frozen Acai Berry Puree: 1/2 pack
4. Maple syrup: 1 tablespoon
5. Further Food Superfood Turmeric: 1 scoop
6. Further Food Collagen Peptides (Chocolate) : 1 scoop
7. Crazy Water: 1 1/2 cup , 6 medium ice cubes
