Today, even with its highly sophisticated weaponry, the military carefully incorporates weather forecasting into its battle plans. New, high-tech weapons may affect the outcome of a conflict. But no one can control the weather, which can alter the best laid plans. National Geographic Explorer correspondent Peter Arnett shares anecdotes on his personal experiences covering wars and how weather has been a factor in those conflicts. He takes a look at how the military spends much effort tracking the weather to determine how it will affect soldiers and their weapons. (Note: US NARRATION RIGHTS HAVE EXPIRED 3/16/2009)
