Freediving blackout after shooting a permit and dealing with sharks

The other day was crazy! Danyar saved my life if it wasn’t for him I might not be here right now. I’m so thankful that I was with good dive buddies! I dropped down to 70-80ft and saw the permit and some sharks and I decided to take the shot. After I shot I figured those sharks were gonna eat my fish but I was able to pull the fish away from them. I exerted so much energy trying to pull the fish up that I needed help with getting my fish up so I called for my buddy to come down and help me. I didn’t realize how out of breath I was otherwise I would of let go of my gun or my weight belt. I don’t remember anything from the time my buddy passed me to grab my fish to when I was at the boat holding on. While I was out I had some crazy dreams. When I woke up I was so confused. I had no idea what happened. I’m posting this to show how important it is to have good dive buddies. I have dove by myself many times to deeper depth than in this video thinking I would be fine. You just never know what you body can handle. The days prior to this video I was working out had at the gym (CrossFit) so I think my body was over worked and all my muscles were sore. But who knows I’m just happy to be alive and so grateful Danyar knew what to do if that happens. Please everyone take a class and pay attention in the rescue portion of the class.
