c2 vtr problems

sorry for the funny sound dont know what that was but my car is stuck in first gear its the censer drive vtr 34000 on the clock 03 plate it wont go out of first has any one had this problem b4 cant get it to a garage cos can not get it out of first gear any one know what i can do or what i need to change to get it going thanks or is there any way of getting it out of gear ?
