My thoughts👇🏼👇🏼

Before our trip, I was so worried that the Amalfi coast was going to be overrated! 🇮🇹

We almost didn’t visit because of this actually😅

Sometimes when a place is so popular on Instagram, you think it can’t possibly live up to the hype!

But I’m happy to report the Amalfi coast definitely did 🥺

Was it busy? Yes
Was it expensive? Also yes

But it was also magical and beautiful and sooo dreamy🥰

We decided to stay in Sorrento to make it more affordable and avoid the super crowded tiny towns on the actual Amalfi coast (like Positano and Amalfi) which definitely helped!

We loved visiting these places, and especially loved being in Positano after sunset! 🌅

But because we booked our trip so late, it would’ve cost a lotttt more to stay there!

Plus, I didn’t love the idea of having to take expensive private transfers or crowded buses every day to explore🚎

Sorrento was super low-key and the perfect home base! Very walkable (and flat!) and plenty of bars and restaurants you could walk into without reservations🍷

Plus we had direct access to Naples and Pompeii on the train, and could hop on a ferry to Capri or Positano ⛴️

Overall, I absolutely loved the Amalfi Coast and totally get the hype now 🍋
